Pink is the color of the universe
We come into this world flesh and bare
We exit this life in a gentle glare
Dust we came and to dirt our bodies remain
The color of love and the celestial plane above
Galaxies immersed and the tone
of our inner realm of myrrh
To this pigment we came
and forever enveloped
should it remain
I wonder what’s it’s like to die
Is it like being born where everything is warm?
Is it bright, is there fright?
What do you think it’s like to die?
Do you think it’s warm?
A final resting place
enough to call my home
a sense of clarity
a full knowing
I’m not alone
this heart of mine
on borrowed time
a choice was sent
for this road to mend
