Even though I have healed from within

My soul recalls the blood

That had seeped from my skin

Blood stained envy

From a starved positional threat

No way in hell

Was I going to rehash that bet

For strength and courage gripped my mane

Abominable misery invoked intercession

To overcome darkness and its fame

As the hope of renewal came

Full circle to reclaim

A mind once in shambles

Now exposed to all

A heart bright and merry-full
